NYC Venture Fellows is a highly selective, year-long fellowship program designed to help the next generation of global entrepreneurs “make it” in New York City. Established by the New York City Economic Development Corporation in conjunction with Fordham University, the program provides Fellows with executive-level mentoring, exclusive networking opportunities, and resources to help them scale their businesses.
The 2012 NYC Venture Fellows are the leaders of fast-growing NYC-based ventures including Jenny Fleiss and Jenn Hyman from Rent the Runway, Neil Blumenthal and Dave Gilboa from Warby Parker and Philip James from Lot18, as well as international digital media pioneers, cleantech innovators, and social entrepreneurs from countries including China, Switzerland, and Ethiopia.
NYC Venture Fellows Mentors are executives and leaders of world-class organizations such as WGSN, NBC Universal, MTV, LVMH, venture capital firms, universities, and more.
Each class of 20 to 30 Fellows is selected through a competitive nomination and application process to ensure the Fellows’ companies have high potential for growth and that the Fellows will benefit from and contribute to the mentoring and networking opportunities.
